SUMMARY
The Laboratory Coordinator is responsiblefor overseeing and coordinating laboratory operations, ensuring accurate andtimely analysis of fuel samples (petroleum and biofuels) in accordance withclient specifications and standard testing methods. The role involves managingthe flow of information between clients, chemists, and other internal teams toensure that all analyses are completed efficiently, problems are resolvedpromptly, and final reports are issued accurately and on time. Additionally,the Lab Coordinator is responsible for maintaining lab databases, updatingclient portals, and ensuring compliance with all operational procedures. Thisrole includes some shift work and on-call duties to support the 24/7 nature oflaboratory operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The list of duties outlined below is not exhaustive, andthe Laboratory Coordinator may be required to perform additional tasks to meetoperational needs

• Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing regular updates regarding their operations.
• Coordinate and prepare analysis instructions for chemists, ensuring that all essential aspects are briefed before analysis begins.
• Monitor operations closely alongside chemists, lab managers, and supervisors to address any issues or changes, updating clients throughout the process.
• Offer consultation on standard test methods and quality calculations upon client request.
• Prepare confirmations and obtain client approval for any method changes.
• Ensure the accuracy of analysis reports, performing corrections and reviews before submitting to clients.
• Prepare invoices and ensure timely submission of documents, including export documentation.
• Maintain and update various laboratory databases and client websites such as BP GCAS and Navarik.
• Sign off and issue final laboratory reports, ensuring approval of results prior to client submission.
• Assist with any additional tasks or duties as required to support lab operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• School-leaving certificate; University-level education preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Chemist.
• Driver's license.
• Experience in fuel analysis will be highly advantageous.
• Flexibility for shift work and on-call duties, including one evening shift per week and one weekend every six weeks.

• Strong understanding of laboratory processes and standard test methods, particularly in the analysis of petroleum and biofuels (highly advantageous).
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Proficient in leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with broad points of contact.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Collaborative and open-minded with a positive, curious attitude.
