We are now looking for a Business Application Manager / GFCP Expert who in this role will utilize a combination of application management toolkit to support Application Owners in complex assignments and work with system admin related tasks. You will take part in further developments of FC applications, making sure they stay compliant with requirements and reliable for end users in order to cater for business objectives and needs.

The role requires close collaboration with other Application Managers, Release Management, Tech Application Provider and Business stakeholders across Group Financial Crime Prevention division and Nordea in general.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Applications KYC, Fraud & FCIIA team. You will be part of the Financial Crime Application Management (FC AM) division, within Group Financial Crime Prevention (GFCP), where we deliver group-wide automated risk controls to detect and prevent financial crime for the greater good of society. As the Business Application Manager / GFCP Expert, you'll contribute with your skills and engagement in performing application management capabilities in Nordea's continued fight against financial crime.

As we become a bigger team, this role also gives you the opportunity to learn and grow into handling more complex tasks and follow career possibilities within our area.

What you'll be doing:
  • Delivery of user admin tasks and acting as a first point of contact for business stakeholders to respond to their varying applications related queries
  • Support in incident and problem solving
  • Work hand-in-hand with other Application Managers on more complex tasks and assignments to ensure current state and future developments of applications comply with business requirements
  • Ensure good shape and availability of the FC applications to end users via daily oversight of applications' performance and contribution to the frequent application updates and releases
  • Further development and improvement of application management processes aligned with Nordea strategies, principles and frameworks
  • Support Application Owner to maintain application lifecycle roadmap, manage risk and regulatory requirements and ensure owned applications are available and comply with security and application management standards
  • Support onboarding of new applications to our portfolio and maintain lifecycle on owned apps
  • Deliver on strategic business objectives and perform strategic Application Management


You'll join a join us and play a key role in driving further growth of FC Application Management strategies within our area and cross borders. The role is based in Gdańsk; Stockholm; Łódź.

Your experience and background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Economics or related field
  • 1-2 years of previous application management and/or project management experience in an international work environment
  • Experience in stakeholder management and facilitation towards task completion
  • Analytical and structured
  • Great time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to adapt, respond to change and initiate action
  • Effective collaborator, sharing information and acting on tasks in an adaptable manner to meet all needs and requirements together with the team
  • Professional level of written and spoken communication in English, and experience in preparing reports and other documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Service oriented and a team player - willing to support stakeholders and colleagues
  • Knowledge of the Financial Crime area will be an asset
