Introduction (The job & Team)
One year ago, we opened our newest office in Iași, Romania, and we're looking for a talented leader to continue driving our growth. We are searching for a Software Engineering Manager who is genuinely interested in people, loves technology, and is excited to understand and meet customer needs.

Your Role:
In this role, you'll have the chance to be involved in the entire process, from attracting and hiring new talent to setting team and project goals, participating in budget discussions, and shaping our software strategy. You'll work closely with your team, various stakeholders, and customers, while also collaborating with engineering managers at our headquarters in Lund, Sweden.

You will:

• Lead a diverse team of software engineers, showing a genuine willingness to support and motivate them as they grow.
• Be a key connector between the Romanian team and sister companies within our global network, fostering collaboration and shared success.
• Working together with software Engineering managers from Sweden to win new business via Customer Engagement and Quotation writing.
• Set individual and project-related goals together with your team, focusing on helping each person thrive in their daily tasks.

Basic qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  Interest and experience in leading teams, either as a line manager or technical project manager.
• A passion for working with embedded systems, cloud solutions, or Android system development, with hands-on experience in at least one of these areas.
• Confident communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A willingness to contribute to project planning, including effort estimation and software development reviews.
• Enthusiasm for collaborating with the Sales team to engage with customers and identify new business opportunities

Preferred additional skills, personal traits and experience

• An interest in integrating electronics with software, with previous experience being a plus.
• Familiarity with the consultancy business is advantageous, and a willingness to adapt to a dynamic, client-facing environment.
• An established network within the software development community, or an eagerness to build and expand industry connections.
