Job Description:

The global supplier quality function at HVDC is expanding and in need of a sustainability specialist. In this role you will be part in identifying applicable requirements on a sustainable supply chain and support the organization in translating the requirements into how the organization drives the supply chain to become greener.

Your responsibilities

• Support the business sustainability strategy within Supply Chain Management translating it into actionable items for the supply chain management function of HVDC
• Monitor regulations, directives and customer requirements on sustainable supply chain and translate those into condensed information which the supply chain organization can act on
• Drive assessment of the sustainability state of our supply chain by employing the tools available to the company
• Together with SCM specialists from other parts of the company, drive the creation/update of company-wide sustainability instructions and processes to enable the SCM function to work in a coordinated way in creating a sustainable supply chain
• Be the expert on sustainability in supply chain within the business area providing guidance to the organization
• Drive implementation of processes and tools within the business area to ensure that we are building a sustainable supply chain
• Monitor our sustainability KPIs, perform analysis on performance and define actions to improve them.
• Train the supply chain management function of HVDC in sustainability requirements and how to apply them
• Specific areas of responsibility: material compliance, CO2-mapping, Life-cycle analysis, Code of Conduct compliance, EcoVadis.

Your background

• Relevant university degree or equivalent competence obtained from experience
• 5+ years' experience in supply chain roles in a multinational company.
• Green Belt certification is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbally
• Ability to work in cross functional and global team environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude for sustainability in supply chain
• Demonstrated technical attitude and a passion for quality.
