In this role you will be part of the Traction Motors division for ABB Motion, in Västerås. At ABB, we are proud to offer you an environment where we value personal and professional development.

Your responsibilities

• Order preparation.
• Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures.
• Lead the daily cooperation, relation building and material follow up with suppliers.
• Track material deliveries from suppliers to ensure material availability and identify, manage and prevent short- and long-term shortages.
• Close follow up of order acknowledgement and ensuring of updated ERP system related to acknowledgement and changes.
• Communicate closely with production planning, production preparation, strategic purchasing and delivery project managers to mitigate impact of potential material shortages.
• Collaborate with suppliers and strategic purchasing to obtain the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on time delivery, lead time, forecasting and flexibility.
• Taking lead in sudden arisen situations related to material shortage and quickly added needs of purchases.
• Handling of invoices.
• Monitor supplier performance & KPIs. Collaborate with suppliers and category team to obtain the best possible performance in terms of supplier on time delivery, lead time, and flexibility.

Your background

• Experience in procurement / sourcing / supply chain / material planning / inventory planning or related fields.
• Experience from working in an industrial environment, preferably in a project-based organization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluent in Swedish and excellent knowledge in English.
• Analytical, target-oriented and structured approach to solving problems and delivering to target.
• Experience in SAP is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
