About the role
Are you ready toplay a pivotal role in driving the success of AAK Personal Care? We are lookingfor a strategic and dynamic Marketing Activation & Communication Manager tolead efforts in enhancing awareness, interest, and preference for ourinnovative solutions. This position is key to increasing revenue and profit byensuring AAK Personal Care effectively communicates the right messages, throughthe right channels, in the right format, and to the right audiences - includingcustomers and distributors.
As the MarketingActivation & Communication Manager, you will be responsible for executingAAK Personal Care's communications strategy across multiple touchpoints. Yourwork will focus on driving impactful engagement with our target audience,ensuring they are informed, engaged, and motivated to choose our offerings. - Lead the development and execution of marketing activation plans for Personal Care products.
- Create compelling messaging that resonates with target customers and distributors.
- Ensure alignment with AAK's overall strategy and objectives.
- Optimize the communication process across all relevant channels and touchpoints.
- Drive brand awareness, preference, and loyalty.
ResponsibilitiesAs Marketing Activation and Communication Manager your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in translating our products' uniquefeatures into compelling value propositions, creating assets and concepts toeffectively communicate our message, and supporting our growth by ensuring thatour key offers are communicated efficiently across various channels. You'llwork closely with our CPMs, Scientific Competence Centre, Digital MarketingManager, and other teams to develop strategies that engage our target audiencesand drive meaningful business results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft Compelling Value Propositions: Collaborate with the CPMs and Scientific Competence Centre to translate product features into engaging, relevant value propositions that resonate with target customers.
- Content Creation: Develop assets, concepts, and marketing materials for communication, building a strong content creation competency within the team (covering technical, formulation, and sustainability content).
- Communication Strategy: In partnership with CPMs and the Digital Marketing Manager, create and implement communication strategies to promote key Personal Care offers, covering all stages of the customer journey-top, middle, and bottom funnel.
- Sales Support: Work closely with CPMs, CI, and Sales teams to create effective sales tools, marketing communication plans, and assets for distributors and key stakeholders.
- Event Management: Take charge of major events such as Incosmetics Global, Sustainable Cosmetics Summit, and Global Commercial Meetings, while supporting regions with local events and initiatives.
- Digital Content Development: Lead the creation of engaging digital content, including videos, formulation demonstrations, blogs, webinars, articles, and more, collaborating with CI, SCC, and the Sustainability Team.
- Public Relations & Media: Oversee PR and media strategies to boost visibility and reinforce AAK's positioning in the market.
- Annual Communication Planning: Own the creation of the annual marketing communication plan, reflecting AAK Personal Care's strategic priorities. This includes targeting the right groups, defining objectives, and outlining communication strategies for:
1. Digital communication activities
2. Events and trade shows
3. Publications
4. Other relevant initiative
About you

We're looking for a Marketing Activation & Communication Manager who ispassionate about using communication and creativity to drive success in thepersonal care industry. You're someone who understands the power of digitalmedia, social channels, and content-driven strategies to make an impact. You'reproactive, adaptable, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentwhile maintaining attention to detail and a strong, organized approach to yourwork.
- Education & Experience: A BSc in a scientific marketing discipline, with proven industry experience, ideally within the Life Sciences markets (Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Home Care).
- Creative & Strategic: You have a natural ability to develop creative content and craft clear, concise messages that resonate with diverse audiences. Your communication skills are second to none, whether working independently or as part of a team.
- Social Media Expertise: You are social media-savvy, with an intuitive understanding of how to leverage various platforms to communicate messages effectively.
- Independent & Collaborative: You're self-motivated and can work independently, but you're also a team player who interacts well with people at all levels of an organization.
- Problem Solver: You have a strong ability to think on your feet and approach challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Attention to Detail: You take pride in ensuring all content and communication is accurate, relevant, and on-brand, while managing multiple projects efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience within the Life Science markets, particularly Personal Care, Pharmaceuticals, or Home Care.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to balance multiple priorities while staying flexible in a dynamic environment.
