Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and communicative Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive sustainable and transformational changes for Network control, operations in Europe. Network control (NC) is a globally active team within Hitachi Energy that is delivering systems and solution for management and control of the transmission, sub transmission and distribution of energy worldwide. Leveraging the Lean Six Sigma (L6S) methodology combined with technical, and data driven business knowledge, you will have a vital role in driving improvement projects and initiatives. This role will require you to work with different levels in the organization to strengthen the continuous improvement culture in a high-speed changing environment. Since this position is within HUB Europe you can be based in either Sweden, Norway, Germany, Spain or Turkey. Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain continuous improvement culture in the organization (operating unit NC, HUB EU). This means organization of trainings and training materials, methodology of executing the continuous improvement project.
• Running continuous improvement projects in a role of the project manager.
• Preparing data for management reviews of continuous improvement (CI) activities (monthly) and presenting the data to the management.
• Initiating and running idea collection sessions with the departments to identify improvement ideas within Network Control.
• Responsibility for CI process in NC across HUB Europe (SE, GE, ES, TR, NO)
• Ensure that Business Unit targets for the CI are met (savings)
• Understand and utilize cost of poor quality, customer feedback, lessons learned and good practice to improve NC EU efficiency.
• Close cooperation with sales and tendering in area of CI.

Your background

• Previous experience with leading continuous improvement projects
• Software development or Software delivery experience
• Communication skills in English
• Experience from initiating improvement changes
• Experience in leading projects for virtual teams.
• Experience with Lean 6 Sigma (yellow or green belt) or knowledge from similar improvement tools.
