Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

• Individual contributor that works under limited supervision.
• Applies subject matter knowledge and requires capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.
• Responsible for providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, and for managing return-to-work programs for ill or injured employees.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports the maintenance and analysis of records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern.
• Supports the education and training of the organization's workforce on health and safety policies and standards.
• Supports the selection, training, and evaluation of workplace safety officers to ensure they understand and can perform the responsibilities of their role.
• Provides first aid supplies and resources are available in accordance with regulations and the organization's health and safety policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma / GED

Experience/Background

• Minimum 2 years
