We are glad to offer a challenging and exciting master thesis project at ABB Robotics, a leading supplier of industrial robots and robot software, equipment and complete application solutions. You will be a part of the Software group in Mölndal, where we work with the development of RobotStudio, a desktop application used for modelling, simulation and offline programming of ABB robots. This thesis is performed in collaboration with ABB which will provide industrial support and supervision. Details: • Period: January to May 2024. • Job type: Master Thesis 30ESTC/högskolepoäng. • Number of students: Two students. • Location: The work should preferably be done partly on site at our office in Mölndal and partly at the university, as per agreement with the students. This thesis is performed in collaboration with the project Production for Future. Production for Future is a project that aims to disseminate knowledge about sustainability, diversity and technology. Together with numerous partner companies, the team of students and companies develops technical solutions and create knowledge that are shown in workshops with people from industry, school classes and teachers. This master thesis shall enhance the collaboration and bring important insights for both Production for Future and ABB. User data plays a crucial role in gaining insights into customer behavior and preferences. With a wealth of user interaction data available, the challenge lies in employing AI algorithms to uncover hidden patterns that can prove beneficial in enhancing user experiences. Your responsibilities
- As part of this thesis project, your primary objective will be to leverage the capabilities of AI to gain deeper understanding of our users and their interactions within RobotStudio.
- We have an extensive collection of usage data that we aim to utilize effectively. By harnessing this valuable resource, we expect you to help us gain insights into our customers and recommend improvements to the software based on your findings.
- Our proposed methodology is to utilize AI to perform an in-depth analysis of this data and then develop a solution that effectively categorizes users into distinct groups, shaped by their usage patterns and workflows.
- There are numerous ways to gain customer insights from usage data and we are open and eager to explore alternative strategies and methodologies to achieve our overarching objective of gaining customer insights from usage data. Your innovative ideas and suggestions are highly encouraged.
Your background
- We are looking for two ambitious and independent master thesis students with knowledge in Data Science, Artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- You probably have some experience with data analysis, pre-processing, and visualization.
