Specialist Overhead Contact Line at COWI We are looking for someone who wants to work as a technical responsible for overhead contact lines in our railway department. However, we are not looking for someone in the traditional sense; we are looking for someone who wants to innovate and shape the work within this technical field to meet the demands of the modern, digital, and sustainable society.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence some of the most exciting infrastructure projects in Sweden and across the Nordic countries as part of our European collaborations. In Europe, we have 300 railway consultants working on multidisciplinary major projects such as Västlänken and Ostlänken in Sweden, High Speed 2 in the UK, the driverless commuter train system in Copenhagen, and the universal design Lørenskog, Vestby and Ås in Norway.

Your daily work and responsibilities include:
- Working on the development of overhead contact line designs within COWI
- Designing in a BIM environment
- Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues in their professional development
- Preparing various types of construction documents, such as execution contracts, total contracts, for both large and small projects, including creating documents in consultation with clients, e.g., working on descriptions and quantity schedules
- Participating in the early stages of projects, such as pre-studies, railway planning, and system design in collaboration with clients
- Developing and conducting regulatory reviews of technical reports, drawings, project management, and more within your own technical area, independently or in consultation with clients, and providing technical guidance in some areas.

In addition, you have:
- A degree as a high school engineer, civil engineer, or equivalent relevant education in overhead contact lines/railways
- Experience with Bentley products and see BIM as a natural part in your work.
- At least 5 years of experience in design, preferably from another consulting engineering firm or a technically strong client organization.
- Experience in a technical role within overhead contact lines in Swedish projects for Trafikverket.
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, and good communication skills in English.
