ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Cargo underwriter you will underwrite and manage both new and renewal business. You will be in a market facing role where you, on a daily basis, work closely with brokers and business partners. You collaborate with colleagues to manage the book of business and ensure high service levels. You are also playing an important role in shaping the strategy for future growth and you are able to develop and adapt policy wordings. You will be a part of the cargo team in Oslo and cooperate closely with the team.
Principal Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal business
- Maintain high service level to brokers
- Plan and attend market meetings and activities
- Day-to-day management of accounts and underwriting administration
- Participate in strategic and innovative initiatives to develop the business
- Collaborate with other lines of business and business functions
- Develop wordings and endorsement
- Have a portfolio management view where you understand insurance financials and how the book of business should be balanced to contribute to profitable growth
You will report to the Head of Marine & Cargo
Qualifications
Preferred knowledge
You have 5-7 years of experience from Cargo Insurance, preferably from underwriting but broking is also meriting. You have your own network of broker connections and you have experience from building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients. You are comfortable in a market facing, representative role.

- MS office, average skills of using most common functionalities in word, outlook, excel and powerpoint at a medium level

Educational Background
- You have, at a minimum, a bachelors degree in economics or law or other relevant education.
