Our underwriting teams set us apart. Our experienced underwriting professionals use their specialized expertise to underwrite even the most complex risks innovatively, and we are now looking for a Senior Casualty Underwriter for the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland). This role can be based either in Stockholm, Sweden or Copenhagen, Denmark.

This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity regime.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Underwriting, managing, and enhancing the Nordic Casualty portfolio.

• Actively developing, marketing, and managing the distribution channels in the Nordic Markets for this product line.

• Developing the offering of this product line as a part of AXA XL Nordic Casualty.

• Managing policy wordings for this product line

You will be based either in the AXA XL Stockholm or Copenhagen office and report to the Casualty Underwriting Manager for the Nordics.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

• Extensive relevant Casualty underwriting (or other roles in the Casualty area, such as broking) experience, ideally in a Nordic country.

• Preference would be experience in Global/International Casualty Underwriting or Casualty Broking Other experience in addition to this is much appreciated.

• Preferred university degree in law, finance/business, insurance, or other related fields, or qualification by experience.

• IT literacy, Microsoft Office package literacy as a minimum.

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and at least one Nordic language, Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish (alternatively Finnish). Knowledge in German and/or French is an advantage.

• Negotiation skills to an advanced level and a solution-oriented approach.

• Passionate about doing business and driving growth in a competitive market.

• Organizational skills, ability to prioritize with both individual and the team's best interests in mind.

• Co-Responsible for the local governance and monitoring of local synergies and boundaries

• Training/support for local people on how best to leverage One AXA entities.

• Coordinate and support revenue synergies and One AXA client Experience within the countries.
