Investor Services is part of the division Corporate & Investment Banking and a cornerstone of SEB's offering to Financial Institutions and Banks. Risk and Market Advocacy is a unit within Investor Services and consists of Network Management, Depositary Services and Risk & Regulations. It is an important function that ensures access to international financial markets, and which enables SEB's clients to make investments and to keep assets safe as well as in compliance with investments policies in the instances where SEB acts as Depositary.Network Management is a function responsible for appointing SEB's Cash Correspondent banks and Sub Custodians in +84 markets worldwide. We are responsible forprocuring bank services, managing the bank relationships and monitoring the counterparty banks. We are looking for a Network and Counterparty Relationship Manager to actively drive and support these responsibilities in a quickly changing and evolving post-trade environment. The position will give an excellent opportunity to gain experience in international financial services within cash and custody and work broadly and cross divisions within the SEB Group.
About the role:
You will be responsible for managing a specific set of markets, bank relationships and currencies. You are expected to manage and review these relationships regularly, develop new business opportunities by coordinating the different business areas within the bank whilst acting as a subject matter expert for internal and external contacts.
The key to success in this role is deep client and product knowledge which will enable the right candidate to identify the requirements of appointed service providers and the actions following market changes.
You will have the overall responsibility to manage the changes in your markets and internally inform and co-ordinate the stakeholders. In addition, you will review, analyze, and negotiate services and agreements. When required, you will participate in the launch and marketing of new and existing products and markets and represent SEB in international forums and events.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
• An academic degree within finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience within the financial sector, preferably with relevant experience within securities and cash management
• Experience of managing bank relationships at a senior level and handling complex markets and relationships
• Experience of working with strategic issues and are familiar with the regulatory environment in which financial institutions operate
• Knowledge of SEB's products and organization
• Great communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A solution orientated mindset, with strong analytic skills and the ability to work independently
