Location: Malmö (1-2 days/week onsite) & Remote (other Swedish locations possible: Helsingborg, Gothenburg, Linköping)

Duration: 4-6 months (full-time), with potential extension

Start Date: January 1st, 2025

About the Role

We are expanding our presence in Sweden and looking for 1-2 experienced developers to join us in a critical modernization project. The main focus will be transforming, replacing, and cleaning up over 100,000 lines of legacy VB6 and C++ code, converting it to .NET (C#). The ideal consultant(s) will need to understand VB6 code (not necessarily to program in it), possess strong .NET skills, and ideally be Swedish-speaking for optimal communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and modernize VB6 and C++ code by converting it to .NET (C#)
• Collaborate with our core team to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality codebase
• Work on-site in Malmö 1-2 days a week, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the time

Qualifications

• Proven experience in .NET development (C#)
• Basic proficiency in VB6 (able to read and understand the code)
• Familiarity with C++ is an advantage
• Ideally Swedish-speaking and/or located in Sweden
• Availability to work on-site in Malmö 1-2 days a week
