We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our fantastic Fixed Domes Mechanics Team within the Products & CTO organization. This position is based at Axis HQ in Lund, Sweden. Here, you will design products that make a difference.
Who is your future team?
Product development with us is about having fun and succeeding together. Here you'll be part of a driven, friendly, and team-oriented group of colleagues within mechanical engineering. Most of your daily work will be in projects where the project team includes various functions and competencies.
You'll also collaborate with product managers, project leaders, line managers, and engineers from other departments. In close contact with your manager, you'll have opportunities to grow as an individual and team member.
What you'll do here as a Mechanical Engineer?
You will develop some of Axis' most technically advanced cameras. In the projects, you and a few colleagues will handle the mechanical design from concept studies to mass production. In the team, you'll work closely with electronics, software, and many other internal functions such as quality, production, and purchasing.
To optimize production, you'll also maintain close contact with our suppliers around the world via phone, email, and occasionally through travel.
Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We believe you are a practical designer, preferably with a few years of professional experience. You are passionate about product development from the initial idea to holding the final product in your hand. You enjoy varied tasks, from CAD modeling to tolerance analysis, supplier communication, and production support.
You are curious about technology and people and enjoy sharing your knowledge.
You like challenging old ideas and creating new innovative products by visualizing your thoughts in 3D and developing prototypes.
You are considerate and value good communication to build lasting relationships.

- Fine mechanics experience.
- Prototype development, 3D printing.
- Design for mass production.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD systems, preferably Creo.
- Experience with molded design (injection molding, die casting).
- Designing optical components.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
