Job Description
As an R&D Engineer specializing in FPGA at Synopsys, you will play a key-role in developing and optimizing FPGA systems through the use of VHDL and Verilog. Your responsibilities will include designing and verifying advanced FPGA solutions, which are integral to their HAPS products-a platform for hardware prototype development and testing. HAPS technology enables customers to quickly and efficiently create prototypes for complex systems, improving development timelines and ensuring superior quality.
In this role, you will refine FPGA code, automate test procedures using scripting languages such as Python, and collaborate closely with experienced colleagues to deliver groundbreaking solutions. To maintain efficiency and support seamless workflows, you will also utilize tools like Confluence and JIRA.
About You
You are a proactive and independent individual who thrives on solving complex challenges and excels in team collaboration. To succeed in this role, you should have:
• A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, engineering physics, or a related field.
• Experience with Verilog/VHDL
• Knowledge of a scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Tcl
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with embedded systems and FPGA development
• Proficiency in Swedish
