Melbu Hotell is a traditional hotel with 58 rooms, a new restaurant, one dining room, Mediatheque, a TV-room and an outdoor restaurant. You also find a Fitness center in the hotel building.
Our target group is guests, who want to do outdoor activities like hiking, biking, experiencing the Midnight sun and Northern Lights etc. In this sence, local food is a really important factor to succeed.
The hotel will succeed because we have a strong focus on sales and marketing, and our service-level are to be better than our competitors.
Melbu Hotell is located just in the middle of the most beautiful region in the Universe - the Lofoten and Vesterålen islands.

Job description:
This position makes you work in the heart of the hotel. The service level are always high, both when you work directly with guests, answer mails or telephone. Your main focus is always personal service and being available for guests.
In addition to normal working tasks, you have to have knowledgde about Vesterålen, and especially the beautiful Hadsel island. Vesterålen is known as "Hiker's Paradise", and you should be interested in hiking and outdoor activities. We will see that you get the chance to have necessary information and are able to get to know the area.
On most of the shifts, you are the main worker both in reception, cafe and restaurant. In addition, you must be able to "easy" cooking when the chef is not available.
We prefer workers who have worked with tourism before. However, personal qualities are the most important factor.
We want a hotel worker who are working after our vision, and wants to excite!
We want all of our staff to be interested in outdoor actvities - especially hiking. Knowledge of the area is important if you want to succeed as a worker in our area.
Driving license: No need, but it makes life easyer in our area.
