ASSA Abloy Entrance Systems focuses on entrance automation through design, manufacturing, sales, installation and service to optimize our customers' operations. We have now embarked on an exciting journey where the goal is to connect and digitize our products to further support our customers' operational activities, in terms of data collection and presentation, remote control, business optimization and more.

What you would do as our Cloud Architect

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will focus on AWS technologies and user-centric design to shape the future of digital solutions. In this role, you'll work in a collaborative and agile environment to create scalable, secure, and innovative cloud architectures that meet business needs and enhance user experiences.

You would also:

• Design and implement cloud software architectures and infrastructures, primarily for AWS.
• Collaborate with product managers, product owners, and other system architects to ensure alignment and system integration.
• Conduct cost analyses, security reviews, and continuous system improvement initiatives.
• Provide architectural guidance to development teams and oversee technical requirements.
• Document system architectures and maintain clear communication across teams.

The skills and experience you need

To be successful in the role, we are looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years of experience in in software architecture and cloud development, with hands-on expertise in AWS architecture, serverless, and event-driven designs.
• Practical knowledge of web technologies, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure tools like CloudFormation and SAM.
• Proficiency in English in both written and verbal communication.
• Experience with cloud-based IoT services like AWS IoT Core or Azure IoT Hub.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and collaborator, experienced in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban. They have a structured, proactive, and flexible approach, paired with a curiosity for new digital technologies. With knowledge of cloud security best practices and awareness of software security threats, they bring valuable expertise to the team. Experience in leading and coordinating development teams or working within the SAFe framework is highly desirable. Previous experience within manufacturing industry, mechanical or electro-mechanical products is beneficial.
