We are recruiting a highly skilled Certified Accountant to a Finnishcompany. You will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day accounting, ensuring timely financial reporting, and preparing financial statements. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with FAS, improving workflows, and supporting audits and integrations.

The company has recently acquired two Swedish companies specializing in clinical research, quality management and regulatory services for medical devices and diagnostic tools. The Swedish company, with more than 50 employees and offices in Stockholm, Uppsala and Lund, holds a strong position in the local market. These acquisitions support the buyer's international growth strategy and opens opportunities for expansion in Sweden.

Key Responsibilities and tasks

• Support in managing and monitoring day-to-day accounting tasks in Sweden and collaborating with external accounting service providers.
• Ultimate responsible for monthly closing and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Ultimately responsible for financial statements and reports.
• Help in preparing annual financial reports and supporting audits as needed.
• Keep financial guidelines and procedures up to date under supervision.
• Participate in improving accounting systems and workflows.
• Assist in financial integration of acquired companies.
• Ensure compliance with FAS and other relevant accounting standards.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree (e.g. Finance and Accounting or Economic Sciences)
• +5 years of work experience in accounting and experience from working in an international group
• A solid understanding of consolidation, accounting principles, financial statements, relevant laws and regulations
• Experience in developing processes and systems related to accounting and financial reporting
• Good people and teamwork skills
• Language skills: English & Swedish (others are considered an advantage)

Desired Qualifications and Competencies

• Experience in Netsuite
• Experience in Swedish GAAP
• MS365

This is a full-time position based in Sweden (Stockholm, Uppsala or Lund) and reports directly to the Group Accounting Manager.
