About the position
We are currently looking for a dedicated and driven Category Buyer for Springs, Fasteners and Catalogue parts within the Corporate Purchasing Organization. This position will be based in Mölndal (Sweden) or Warsaw (Poland). You will report to Purchasing Director Mehcatronics.
Responsibilities
In this role you will be part of our Global Direct Material Purchasing team and play a key role in improving our productivity and overall business responsible for Springs, Fasteners & Catalogue parts and relevant sub-categories.
You will be actively engaging and leading global and regional contract negotiations, communicating and cooperating with our suppliers and stakeholders to meet our KA business objectives. Other activities include identification of saving opportunities and development of the sub-categories in your area of responsibility. Operational purchasing come as an inherent part of the role.
Specific objectives of the role are:
Actively manage category spend and drive the cross functional team to identify cost improvement opportunities, and secure implementation
Find, implement, and manage preferred suppliers in accordance with business needs.
Sourcing of new projects
The position will be part of the Mechatronics team and reports to Global Category Director - Purchasing.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, we see that the candidate meets the below qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience as a buyer or category leader in automotive and related industry, with proven negotiation skills
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Business Management and/or Engineering
Analytical and structured and being able to drive the category independently
Strong communication skills and business mind-set
A proactive, goal-oriented and cross-functional approach
Entrepreneurial mindset
Flexible and comfortable in a rapidly changing and demanding matrix organization.
Business fluent in English written and spoken
