The Breakfast Team At Six is a quite large department with the main responsibility to provide our guests with the best breakfast experience possible to start their day. The breakfast buffet is served in our Dining room area and can accommodate up to 175 seated guests at a time. Besides the colleagues in your own team, you will also work closely with other departments in our hotel and foremost the breakfast kitchen.

The Role and Our Philosophy

We are now looking for a Breakfast and Lunch Supervisor to join our team At Six! As Supervisor you will mostly work floor-based and handle all aspects of the guest experience, as well as supervise and assist in the service. You need to be capable and willing to perform all tasks carried out by the department staff and assure that the quality of the buffet is always kept to its highest standards.

The role also includes to coach/train junior staff members and assure that product quality and service standards are being followed at all times. When required, you will also assist other F&B outlets by covering shifts and supporting fellow managers. As Supervisor you constantly work to contribute to increasing productivity as well as quality and achieving the department's set goals, while being a role model.

You will be in charge of some administrative tasks, when required by the senior F&B managers, that are connected to the daily operations. This can be answering emails, checking PMI, making orders for the next day, checking and updating Timeplan etc.

To summarize, to be successful in this role you thrive when doing the following tasks:
  • Work floor-based and hands-on in the service.
  • Ensure that guest requests and problems are fulfilled.
  • Coach and train junior staff members to enhance skills and performance including A-la-carte service techniques.
  • Ensure your team is aware and follows relevant standards i.e. fire, safety, and security protocols, hygiene, clean uniforms, cash/credit card security, etc
  • Supervise and ensure that quality and service standards are being followed at all times.
  • Work to increase productivity and achieve the department's set goals.
  • Some administrative tasks required to run daily operations.

And what about you?

We see that you have 1-2 years of experience working in a Supervisor role within food and beverage, preferably from the hotel industry in the premium and lifestyle segment. You perform your duties without direct supervision and display enthusiasm, dedication, and support for continuous improvement. We believe that you share responsibility, accountability and recognition amongst the team. You work well individually as well as a part of a team and work effectively with peers to accomplish organizational goals.

We believe that you have good knowledge of food and beverage and have experience working with service from the hotel industry, most likely from a similar role. You have to be detail oriented but also be able to have an overview to supervise your team when and where it's needed. You are passionate about guest experience and are spreading a positive can do attitude in your everyday work.

To recap, do you have the below skills?
  • Proven experience as a supervisor in Food and Beverage, ideally within a hotel environment (minimum 1-2 years).
  • Solid understanding of Food and Beverage service standards with a focus on Breakfast and A-la-carte Lunch operations.
  • Enjoy the responsibilities of supervising team members and making sure everyone is working towards a common goal.
  • Passionate about guest experience and working hands-on in service.
  • Perform duties without supervision and display enthusiasm, dedication, and support for continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English
