Position OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Customer Engineer with extensive expertise in GitHub and all GitHub enterprise-level Microsoft products. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping our customers leverage GitHub's full potential to enhance their software development processes and improve overall productivity. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, ensuring a dynamic and impactful career.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Customer Engineer, you will:

• Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to enterprise customers on GitHub, Azure DevOps, and associated Microsoft technologies.
• Assist in designing, implementing, and optimizing GitHub and Azure DevOps setups tailored to the specific needs of each client.
• Conduct comprehensive training sessions and workshops for customers, covering best practices, advanced features, and integration techniques.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including guides, tutorials, and troubleshooting resources.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest GitHub and Microsoft technologies, continuously improving your knowledge and skills.

Technical Requirements
Qualifications

• Proven experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodology.
• Experience with popular automation tools in the market.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
• Fluent in English.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with GitHub, GitHub Advanced Security, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, and other Microsoft development tools.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as YAML, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

GitHub and Azure DevOps Products Technical RequirementsYou should have strong expertise in:

• GitHub repository management and governance models.
• GitHub Actions, including YAML script creation.
• GitHub and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including template builds, testing, and validation.
• Integration of GitHub with Azure DevOps.
• Creation of IaC code standard templates for Azure services.
• Building application code templates for use across multiple projects.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services), Kubernetes security, Helm Charts, GitOps, and the Azure cloud platform (IaaS and PaaS).
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and GitHub Codespaces.

We are looking for someone with strong communicatio and presentation skills who can handle challenging situations with confidence. You should be committed to ownership and able to propose delivery roadmaps based on opportunities, and have a constant drive to learn and improve.

You will engage with stakeholders, business, and application owners, drive troubleshooting efforts, and provide clear action plans, following up to closure. Collaboration and partnership with team members both internally and externally are key.
