The increasing complexity of the world's power systems calls for clever new digital solutions to advance safely and sustainably into the future. Within HVDC R&D Digital we work to make this a reality by increasing the reliability, maintainability and safety of our products by developing new solutions and integrating new technologies.

You will be working with colleagues mainly in Västerås / Ludvika and Chennai, India. The team is working in an agile setup where all team members are expected to contribute with their knowledge and experiences to achieve the common goals for the development of the products. This means that the team is doing breakdown of activities together, collaborate within the team as well as seeking collaboration with other relevant teams and users of delivered solutions in (and sometimes outside) the HVDC organization.

Your responsibilities

• Be a bridge between our different solutions, internal users, Product Managers and Customers in translating requirements into mockups and designs that can be picked up by our frontend and backend developers.
• Continuously strive to increase the user experience on our delivered solutions as well as making sure that the User stays in focus for the new solutions we develop.
• Work creatively to solve UX problems and proactively find and implementing the solutions (e.g. usability, findability).
• Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
• Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback.
• Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success.
• Identify the need and establish user guides and requirements for user documentation.

Your background

• Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role
• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows and process flows
• Experience of software development. Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript is a plus
• Strong communicational skills for dialogues both with users and stakeholders, but also with the developers
• Experience working with applications visualizing 3D/2D models is a plus
• Experience working with Digital Twin applications is a plus
• Proficiency working with Figma is a plus
• Experience working in an agile scrum/SAFe development process is a plus
