Robotics Parts & Logistics is responsible for the availability and delivery of spare parts to our robot systems worldwide. There are nearly 30,000 spare parts in the offer and more than 120,000 order lines are yearly delivered from our warehouses. The increasing complexity of global supply chains and dynamic market conditions necessitate effective demand management strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. This master thesis proposal aims to investigate the role of demand management in optimizing supply chains and propose strategies to address the challenges faced by organizations in managing demand effectively. Details: • Period: Autumn semester 2023 or Spring semester 2024. • Job type: Master Thesis 30ESTC. • Number of students: One student. • Location: Department is located at Västerås and it is preferred to work from university or home with having scheduled meetings at office.
Your responsibilities
- Map the current state of demand flow (AS-IS flow).
- A comprehensive understanding of the current state of Demand Management at CS ABB Robotics.
- Data collection in terms of theoretical framework, Interviews.
- Map the To-Be demand flow based on theoretical background.
- GAP analysis and Provide recommendations based on theories. Practical recommendations for organization and different departments to implement effective demand management practices.
Your background
- M.Sc. student in Industrial Engineering and Management, Supply Chain Management or similar.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently, ambitious and goal oriented.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
