We are now seeking a System Manager, ICT Infra to join our IT team responsible for the Nuclear Business IT infrastructure.

About the role
This position is based in Loviisa with the majority of users working onsite. Additionally, there are users within the Nuclear Services, Engineering and New Nuclear businesses located in Espoo.

As a system manager, you will take part in the development, maintenance and optimization of our IT infrastructure with a critical focus on access rights management. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and support our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain IT Infrastructure: Take part in the development, maintenance and optimization of the powerplant's IT infrastructure including servers, virtualization, storage and print services.

  • Access Management: Ensure effective access management by implementing user access controls, permissions and security protocols.

  • Collaborate with IT Team: Work closely with the IT team to ensure the security and reliability of our on-premises infrastructure.

  • Monitor System Performance: Continuously monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise to ensure smooth operation.

  • Integrate New Technologies: Take part in the integration of new technologies and systems into the existing infrastructure to enhance functionality and efficiency.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with agreed standards and regulations to maintain a secure and reliable IT environment.

  • Vendor Management: Follow up on vendor service levels and manage financial aspects related to IT infrastructure.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other departments and team members to facilitate effective use of IT resources.

  • On call support ring: Every 8th week responsible for IT Critical support for our Applications and Infrastructure.

About you
We are seeking for someone with hands-on work experience in on-premises server environments (Windows & Linux), who is a team player and who is interested in professional development alongside our team. You should have a thorough approach to your work, understand the requirements of working in a mission-critical environment and be able to meet agreed deadlines.

To succeed in this role, you have

  • Experience: At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field.

  • Education: A relevant education and knowledge of good IT practices and IT Service Management (ITSM).

  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and a desire to develop oneself together with the team.

  • Documentation Skills: Comfortable with keeping documentation up to date, creating various plans, assessments and instructions for internal and external parties.

  • Attention to Detail: Thorough in your work and understanding of what it takes to work in a mission-critical environment.

  • Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken skills in Finnish and English.
