Job Description:
We are opening to welcome a highly motivated and result driven Supply Quality Engineer to join our team at Power Transformers in Ludvika. We manufacture power transformers and reactors up to the highest occurring powers and voltages. The unit also offers diagnostics, oil reclaiming, service and spare parts to customers around the world. The Transformer unit in Ludvika has the core competence within the ultra-high voltage levels that are required to transfer a large amount of energy over long distances. Most of the new technology for power transformers is developed here in Ludvika.
As Supply Quality Engineer you will be responsible for providing supplier quality management services to clients.
Also resolve poor supplier quality issues and provide appropriate support for desired supplier capability. You identify areas for improvements within the supply chain and work closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement. You have solid communication skills for cross functional and global team environment.
Your responsibilities
- Drive Quality at suppliers, improving quality performance
- Support new supplier onboarding by ensuring a robust qualification process execution
- Own supplier results as measured by key metrics and identify area for improvements utilizing Supplier scorecards
- Manage supplier Nonconformities (containment action, corrective actions and Root Cause Analysis) and analyze periodically historical NC to drive improvement plan
- Planning, Execution and Follow up of Surveillance Audits (Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement)
- Lead Supplier Quality Reviews to drive Continuous Improvement
- Support Supplier claim management process
- The role requires travelling to suppliers for solving quality issues, quality process developments and inspection of components and products
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering
- 3+ years' experience in quality roles in a multinational company
- Green Belt certification is desirable
- Experience in quality audit execution (certified quality auditor would be a plus)
- Good knowledge or experience in manufacturing processes assessment
- Experience in product qualification process (PPAP or similar)
- Fluency in Swedish and English - capability to lead technical conference calls, read drawings and procedures in English
- Experience / knowledge regarding ISO3834 is considered a big plus since we work with welding suppliers
