Simplygon, now part of Team Xbox and Xbox Game Studios, is looking to hire a Software Engineer.

Simplygon develops one of the renowned technologies that has been used in games for more than 15 years. So, you have likely encountered the Simplygon logo in the boot sequence of a favorite game. Now we want to welcome you with this opportunity to join the team and the Xbox Community to influence game development for decades to come.

We are a passionate product team specializing in 3D Game Content Optimization for the Computer Games industry. Our mission is to craft end-to-end solutions for customers by providing a best-in-class 3D optimization tool, the Simplygon SDK. Which has been used in the development of thousands of games and digital media on many platforms and devices.

What are we looking for from you? We believe you are a highly motivated Software Engineer with an interest in game development technologies. You are familiar with developing complex products and working with advanced technologies means you are an agile problem-solver. We also believe you have a strong inner drive, able to take initiatives working well both independently and alongside others.

It is beneficial to have a passion for computer games, and a genuine desire to empower game creators to achieve more. At Simplygon we are proud of what we have done so far but are looking to continue to innovate further within the domain. We are based in Linköping, Sweden - and while onsite work is preferred for this role, we are open to discuss flexible and/or remote opportunities.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain one or more Simplygon integrations.
• Contribute to the design of customer workflows.
• Work closely with our customers on support cases.

Qualifications:

Required skills and experience:

• A few years of experience as a software engineer.
• Fundamental understanding of advanced math and its application in 3D visualization.
• Demonstrated experience in C++ and/or C#.

Additional experience we'd love to see (though not required):

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent in work experience.
• Have done work within the computer graphics domain.
• DCC tools experience (Max, Maya, Blender).
• Game engine experience (Unreal Engine, Unity).
