As a Software Engineer Backend...
You will be joining one of our scrum teams focusing on AI and self-service with the responsibility of integrating AI capabilities and developing AI-based applications that bring massive value to our customers. We are a mixed team with fresh talents as well as members that have been an integral part of the product for many years.

You will work collaboratively on developing and maintaining new and existing features and services in our multi-tenant system implemented primarily in Golang, with Rust on the near horizon. The work is high-impact and contributes directly to supporting the needs of our customers and the product vision and roadmap. The team has full ownership of the services they develop with a high level of agency, influence, and ability to steer the direction. Besides the applications implemented in Golang and coming applications in Rust, you will get to work with databases such as PostgreSQL; message brokers and event streaming based on RabbitMQ and Kafka; pipelines on GitHub Actions; observability through structured logging and metrics in Grafana; containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a backend developer drawn towards secure and reliable distributed systems, and languages such as Golang and Rust, preferably with an interest in, and hopefully experience from developing practical applications of AI. You are a curiosity-driven self-starter, willing to take ownership of your work, and you strive for high quality. You are bold and willing to challenge the status quo and propose improvements to both processes and systems - something that we value deeply. Previous knowledge of Golang or Rust is not a hard requirement for the right candidate, but a willingness to embrace and become an expert in these languages over time is required for you to succeed in this role.

Your Experience:
• You have a relevant university education and/or work experience
• You are used to working with complex software development in agile teams in large organizations
• Development of secure, reliable, and scalable distributed systems
• Experience of long-term product development cycles and management
• You enjoy throwing yourself into new domains and learning the ropes

Nice-to-haves:

• Previous professional experience with Golang or Rust

• Docker/Kubernetes

• CI/CD

• Database and message brokers

• Microservices and event driven architectures

• Automated testing

• Reliability engineering and ops

• Experience from working with AI platforms from Google, Microsoft, OpenAI or similar.
