Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Maps Developer Platform to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Develop and enhance MapKit APIs across native platforms, supporting various UI frameworks.

Design and implement scalable and reliable APIs that empower developers to integrate advanced mapping features into their applications.

Collaborate with Human Interaction Design, Engineering, Services, and Data teams to deliver seamless cross-platform mapping solutions.

Work closely with clients to gather requirements and translate them into impactful, scalable code.

Develop, launch, and maintain cross-platform features that integrate Maps with the broader ecosystem.

Contribute to quality assurance efforts by building and maintaining test tools and test cases.

What you bring:

6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong focus on Swift and/or Objective-C.

Expertise in object-oriented programming and API design for public developer use.

Proficiency in computer graphics APIs such as OpenGL, Metal, or WebGL is advantageous.

Strong technical writing skills, including experience authoring or contributing to developer documentation.

Exceptional ability to explain complex problems clearly and succinctly.

Passion for collaboration, iteration, and teamwork in cross-functional environments.

A sharp eye for software design and architecture, ensuring high-quality and maintainable solutions.
