Your Role
In the role as Senior R&D Professional at Kanthal you will take charge of impactful projects in process and product development. You will work in accordance with the research and/or new product and process development (NPPD) model and be responsible for documentation and presentation of project results both orally and in writing. In this role, you will use and develop your knowledge in the area of expertise, find and develop new ideas that add value to the business, and share skills and best practices within our organization.
Key responsibilities:
About You
We are looking for you with an academic degree, in materials science, physics, or mechanical engineering, supplemented with basic project management training. You should have some relevant theoretical and practical experience in process and product development within metallic material science. It is meritorious with previous knowledge and experience in process metallurgy. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their activities and works independently but can also contribute to the R&D group with ideas and ways of working. You continuously develop your working methods to handle tasks and have good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Swedish.
Your personal qualities are crucial for this role and are characterized by your ability to be a driven person with the abilities to handle problems with established techniques. You as a person can take initiative and delivery in your area of expertise.

Your Role

- Plan and Lead Projects: Independently plan and execute projects related to process and product development, ensuring timely delivery of results.
- Apply Proven Frameworks: Utilize established research and New Product and Process Development (NPPD) models to guide projects.
- Document and Present Results: Take ownership of documenting and presenting project outcomes to stakeholders.
- Innovate and Refine: Identify new ideas that create business value, and continuously improve tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Expand and Share Expertise: Develop specialized knowledge while mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices to strengthen the team.
- Support and Prioritize Growth: Execute critical R&D tasks as prioritized by leadership and foster a collaborative, growth-focused environment
