Job description
The division of Transport & Systems Analysis at the Department of Urban Planning and Environment at KTH is looking for a researcherto join its dynamic and diverse team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions for sustainable future transportation, with a particular focus on on-demand mobility services. The project will focus on policy design and evaluation through activity-based agent-based simulation tools like MATSim or similar platforms.

Qualifications
Requirements
- A doctoral degree in transport research or another related field.
- Strong programming (e.g., Python, JAVA, C) and data analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Research expertise.
- The ability to work towards research results being utilised in practice.
- The ability to inform about research and development work.
- Knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality.
- Collaborative abilities.
- Independence.
Preferred qualifications
- Documented experience with activity-based agent-based transport modelling (e.g., MATSim).
- Strong writing ability shown through academic publications and reports
- Interest in tackling emerging transportation challenges and a passion for making transport more sustainable.
- Teaching ability.
- Experience of developing and leading activities and staff.
