We are looking for a Procurement Trainee to join our team and support us in delivering exceptional results.

About the role

• Hands-on Procurement Experience: Assist the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
• Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify cost-saving and strategic procurement opportunities for our growing business.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support project procurement needs and help ensure smooth operational processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Take initiative to identify potential improvements in procurement processes, systems, and best practices, contributing to our goals of innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end procurement processes, including documentation, supplier follow-up, and contract management.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and compliance with company standards.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies aligned with Fortum's sustainability goals.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution.

About you:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Additional language skills are a plus.
• Positive Mindset: Ability to take initiative, work independently, and propose solutions to drive efficiency and results.
• Curiosity & Growth: Eagerness to learn and apply new insights to procurement processes.
• Adaptability & Mobility: Willingness to travel as needed to meet suppliers, attend workshops, or visit other Fortum sites.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in an international, cross-functional environment.
