Job description
The Department of Mathematics at KTH is offering an attractive two-year post-doctoral position in Topological Data Analysis group, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Martina Scolamiero. The Topological Data Analysis group at KTH is a vibrant research environment currently constituted by two faculty members Prof W. Chachólski and Assist. Prof. M. Scolamiero, four PhD students and three postdocs. Research interests range from fundamental mathematical research, connections to machine learning, and applications to neuroscience. The department of mathematics at KTH offers many opportunities for collaboration and advancement, for example through Digital Futures and WASP. The position is financed by the Swedish e-Research Center (SeRC) and the Göran Gustafsson foundation. Involvement in undergraduate teaching will be required for 20% of the employment.
The post-doctoral position aim at conducting research in mathematics related to topological data analysis understood in abroad sense (fundamental developments including probability and statistics, algorithmic approaches, etc) and applications of topological data analysis in collaboration with SeRC.
The successful candidate is expected to independently conduct research and to actively engage in the Topological Data Analysis group as well as in department activities, attending and organizing seminars, being involved in inviting and hosting guests.

- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
