Plant Controller Höganäs, Sweden

Mission

• Accountable for consistency of plants and /or sites actual / standards costs.
• Ensure accurate data & financial information and analysis is provided to management in a timely manner to help aid business decisions.
• To build and deliver a culture of robust cost management to ensure delivery of budget / forecasts and other key financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Financial support & reporting for a number of different functional areas within the business as well as analysis, understanding and challenging monthly results with managers.
• Preparation of reports/analyses to enable Senior Managers to control their costs. Analysis to include both historical reporting against prior year and versus forecast and variance analyses/reconciliations, together with future performance/trending by way of forecasting and longer term planning.
• Calculate and update standard costs / actual unit costs in ERP for inventory valuation
• Report and perform plant production and inventory monthly tracking (analysis and reconciliation)
• Oversee accounting ledgers and correct cost centres / accounts
• Determine and monitor accruals to be booked in ERP and communicate to SSC
• Produce and review Monthly Mine and Plant / Site cost reports with mine / site manager (and Hub Controllers if needed).
• Provide financial data and analysis (standard costs, production costs, consumptions and efficiencies, etc) and ad hoc financial information, quantity produced when required)
• Provide support to Hub Industrial Controllers with the budget and forecast process, as well as ad-hoc analysis and information (Capex projects, savings, I-Cube etc).
• Perform accounting and controlling activities, including journal postings, allocations, reconciliations & analysis.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
• Minimum Qualified AAT \ Part Qualified ACCA \ CIMA, but ideally CIMA Finalist
• Typical profile as Plant Controller
• Understand industrial processes and costing principles
• Reasonable understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Ability to handle complex financial information
• Ability to create a strong bonds with other people, inspires trust and confidence in both his peers, senior, and external partners
• Demonstrate good communication skills to convey information
• Have a keen eye for details, ability to manage multi tasks / project and meet tight deadlines, is analytical and highly organized
• Work comfortably in a highly collaborative setting, have a confident and outgoing personality,
• Proficient in financial software as IFS/SAP
• Strong IT skills especially in Excel and Google suite package
• Be able to continuously look for improvements in reporting
• Strong relationship builder; team worker
• Self-motivated, curious & questioning
• Ability to work under pressure
• Conscientious and able to meet deadlines with consistently high- quality output

You will be based in Höganäs, and business traveling will sometimes include both within Sweden and the Netherlands.
