Fortum's Wind and Solar organization is responsible for the development of wind and solar business. Our aim is to grow especially in our home market in the Nordics where conditions for wind power are excellent and power demand is expected to grow significantly. Wind and solar power play a crucial role in decarbonization of our societies.

In this position you can be based in our Solna or Espoo.

About the role
As a P2X Business Modelling Expert, you will play pivotal role in driving the analysis of our power-to-X projects. Your primary focus will be on giving financial analysis support and developing concepts to ensure the success of our project initiatives. You will contribute to the development of methods, tools, and processes that will shape the future of the power-to-X and energy industry.

You will join the Strategy and Commercialization team which is responsible for Wind and Solar Nordics' strategy, financial analysis, business specific market intelligence, inorganic growth and other business development activities. We are also taking responsibility for profitability analysis of Power-to-X projects.

Your accountabilities include:

• 
  Support refining and developing our business models, adapting them to embrace market changes and opportunities.
  

• 
  Optimization and asset sizing of electrolyser together with wind, solar, storage and heat offtake to enable cost-competitive total concept
  

• 
  Proactively investigate and suggest measures to enhance project profitability.
  

• 
  Support power-to-X team in financial questions arising from different stakeholders.
  

• 
  Participate and provide support in customer negotiations from financial aspects
  

• 
  Support preparation of investment decision materials
  

• 
  Assess future development of Power-to-X projects' economics
  

• 
  Lead the development of new financial approaches to reach our power-to-X ambitions.
  

About you
To succeed in the role as P2X Business Modelling Expert, we see that you bring the following:

• 
  Previous experience in business development or investment analysis.
  

• 
  A master's degree in economics, engineering, or in another relevant field.
  

• 
  Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills, especially Finnish or Swedish, are highly valued
