The opportunity

In this role, you will own and drive the mechanical development as well as maintenance and optimize existing products, production and related systems. You will be part of an international and high-performing hardware team and most of the work will be done in close cooperation with your colleagues in Sweden, Germany and Taiwan.

Your work during the day will, to a large extent, be based on CAD in Solid Works. You will develop and design future products, and maintain and upgrade existing product range.
In the lab, you will work with prototypes, verification and performance tests in the climate chamber, impact test etc.

A big part of your job is to collaborate and communicate within the Beijer organization as well as externally with our suppliers and our manufacturing sites.Our competent suppliers are mainly located in Asia and you will work tightly together with them to achieve a reliable and robust design and production.

The successful applicant

As always, we would like you to know a lot, but in this case, it's more important to be adaptive than to be a specialist within a field.

But of course, some mandatory boxes to tick:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (orrelevant experience)
  • Skilled in 3D-CAD and experience with PDM-system
  • Self-sustaining and solid experience in mechanical design
  • Knowledge of design for tooling and production of both plastic and metal parts
  • Experience in FEM and thermal analysis
  • Ability to drive and take initiative
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing

And to get that golden star:

    • Experience with automation and control systems
    • Understanding of hardware platforms and electromechanics
    • Experience in working with product testing and certification
