General Information:

As a Master Thesis worker at the HVDC Control & Protection System Solutions Team, you shall be a part of the Technology & Solutions Development (Business R&D) organization in HVDC, Hitachi Energy, Ludvika, Sweden. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is an enabler for renewable energy integration, supporting future energy transition for a sustainable future.

Your responsibilities:

• As a master's Thesis worker, you're expected to do research on current strategies used to model state sequences of HVDC Substation Control Systems.
• Investigate industry trends for model-based programming of HVDC Control and Protection systems.
• Survey of relevant industry standards related to graphical coding of the same.
• You are expected to establish a simulation method/procedure to complement the testing results.
• Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background:

• You are pursuing a master's degree in Sweden, in the areas of Electrical/Embedded Systems engineering.
• You possess basic understanding of model-based programming.
• Basic C programming and MATLAB skills are desired.
• You have an inner drive, ability to get things done and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken.
