As a market leading beverage company we are always looking for new innovative ways to reduce our CO2 emissions constantly. For this thesis project you will have the exciting opportunity to make a study on how we can reduce our CO2 footprint by using refillable bottles in our manufacturing plant. You will be able to influence the scope of the thesis but it will likely include:
- Analysis of the end to end CO2 footprint for a refillable Glass line
- Define the technical and logistical set up that is needed to produce and deliver refillable glass bottles
- Compare alternatives in the return and sorting process of the bottles
- Calculate the CO2 footprint from the production of the glass until the refilling and scrapping of the bottles
- Identify options or requirements to reduce the CO2 footprint. Make use of the former experience in Sweden and the process today in other CCEP countries
- Compare the results with the nonrefillable bottles produced today
What to expect
For this master thesis you will work closely to the Swedish supply chain organisation. Here you'll get to learn more about one of Europe's most modern and technical advanced beverage manufacturing plants, where both mixing and bottling of our market-leading beverages are done - including Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and bonaqua. You will get at dedicated supervisor/contact person who'll help you navigate in our business - which means interacting with different stakeholders within e.g. manufacturing and QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health) and develop your understanding about supply chain and sustainability in a fast-moving context.
Who are we looking for?
Requirements are:
- Master student within industrial engineering, supply chain, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or similar
- Previous supply chain knowledge, e.g. through an internship or part-time job
- Fluent skills in English. Fluency in Swedish is desirable.
- Possibility to conduct the thesis by two students working in a pair
We also believe thatyou have good problem solving skills and operates in a structured manner. You are driven and thorough with a strong eye for quality and detail. Moreover, we see that you have a strong understanding of numbers and good analytical skills. You are also social, communicative and passionate about your work. Of course you also have a curious mindset and thrive working in a high-paced environment.
