About the role
Component Leads at Zenseact are responsible for key external components in the company's reference architecture deemed strategically important, such as the lidar sensor.

As Lidar Component Lead, you'll act as a bridge between lidar suppliers and Zenseact. This includes collecting all requirements on the lidar components together with key stakeholders, and aligning these with suppliers and customers. Moreover, you'll be supporting the Zenseact reference architecture and future blueprint by keeping track of the viable sensor alternatives, both technical and business-wise via technology scouting and benchmarking. In addition, the role entails acting as a subject matter expert and distributing knowledge and know-how within Zenseact.
Your main responsibilities as Lidar Component Lead:

• Technical Coordination with customers and suppliers (mainly VCC and Luminar)
• Collect the company-wide needs and set the roadmap for the roll-out of the component (HW, FW & SW) in our development vehicles and test environments
• Provide external input from Customer and Supplier interactions into product planning.
• Work on long term strategy for how Zenseact shall use the component. Collect input to future Blueprints.
• Gather lidar requirements and align these in discussion with external partners including customers and suppliers.
• Ensure that deliveries from lidar suppliers follow the intended architecture and requirements.

Qualifications and experience:

• Outstanding communication and project management skills
• Ability to internalize a wide range of knowledge and collaborate with experts in various areas.
• Deep understanding of automotive sensors and lidars in particular
• Experience from software development projects across organization boundaries with sourced components
• Ph.D., M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a related field such as: Computer Science, Signal Processing, Engineering Physics, Robotics etc.

The following is also meriting:

• Good understanding of the automotive processes and ecosystems.
• Good understanding of automotive standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ISO 21448 SOTIF).
