About this opportunity

Welcome to the Compliance Risk Governance team. We are a shared services team within Group Compliance supporting our colleagues with qualified regulatory analysis and expertise. As fundamental parts of Nordea's Compliance Risk Management Framework, the team identify and assess new and amended regulations relavant for Compliance Risk and are responsible for Nordea's global library of Compliance Risk called the Compliance Risk Register. The team consist of 6 team members located in the Nordics. We add value by combining extensive regulatory knowledge with compliance risk management expertise.

As the Lead Compliance Officer in the Compliance Risk Governance team, you'll play a valuable role in performing and advising on the Compliance Risk identification and registration processes. You will also participate in the further development of Group Compliance's Regulatory Change Process and the Compliance Risk Register.

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for supporting the Group Compliance Regulatory Change Process and for taking part in the Compliance Risk Register activities.

This entail:
  • Perform Horizon Scanning and/or controls on the Horizon Scannning as part of the Group Compliance Regulatory Change Process. You will stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments that might have an impact on the Compliance Risk area.
  • Update the Nordic Compliance Risk Register via population of new and amended regulatory changes and/or support team members with their population activities. You will participate in ensuring that the register is complete and accurate.
  • Support the team's activities related to the maintenance and further development of the Global Compliance Risk Register.
  • Participate in updating and maturing the Compliance Risk Management Framework in relation to Group Compliance's risk identification and registration processes.
  • Advice stakeholders on Group Compliance risk identification and registration matters relating to financial regulation and selected non-financial regulation and thereby developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships.

Your experience and background:
  • 8 years work experience as Compliance Officer or Legal Counsel
  • In depth understanding of the financial regulatory environment and the EU legislative process
  • Master in Law (LL.M.) from a Swedish university
  • Excellent English and Swedish skills
  • Good knowledge of regulatory analyses
  • Strong communication skills
