Join ACTIA Nordic for a Summer internship in R&D

Are you a tech-savvy engineering student, looking for a hands-on summer work experience? Then look no further. At ACTIA Nordic, we are masters of connectivity, and this summer, we are looking for passionate students who are ready to bring their fresh ideas and energy into our innovative team.

We have a couple of interesting ideas for our summer workers, and thus, the assignment could be something like the following:

• Develop software for a Breakout Box (BoB)
  • The program shall be written in Python.
  • The BoB is communicating throuh I2C and consists of different boards.
  • The BoB shall later be integrated into our internal test environment.
  • Hardware is already available, but there could be place for improvment.
  • Main focus should be SW

• Develop a drive test sequencer
  • When we release new software, this often includes a "drive test" where we mainly test cellular and GPS functions to make sure they operate as expected during varying radio conditions. Today we manually operate the device under test which leads to variations in how we test the system. This work would consist of developing a test sequencer that controls the overall test and collects logs.
  • The program shall be written in Python.
  • Interface with the DUT over TCP/IP and CAN
  • Produce log output in a CSV or similar format
  • Provide an operator interface to start/stop and monitor the test sequence
  • Continuously monitor and collect data from the unit (Including: Connection status, GPS position, boot counter, CPU and memory load)
  • Monitor device status in the backend
  • Send requests to the device through the backend
  • Control the device ONSW input
  • Manually start / re-start tests
  • Trigger tests based on physical location.

Ideal candidates should be enrolled in a university program, preferably Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar.

Candidates should also be familiar with embedded programming, python scripting, hardware development and Linux environments.
