We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedHSE Field Officerto oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance at an onshore wind farm in Sweden. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of personnel, compliance with local and international regulations, and the environmental sustainability of wind farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
- HSE Compliance: Ensure that all on-site activities comply with company HSE regulations, company policies, and international standards.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct detailed risk assessments and hazard identification for daily operations and new tasks.
- Incident Management: Investigate and report any on-site incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Training and Awareness: Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to site personnel, contractors, and visitors.
- Site Inspections: Perform regular safety and environmental audits, reporting findings and ensuring timely resolution of any non-compliance issues.
- Emergency Preparedness: Maintain and regularly test emergency response plans, ensuring site readiness for potential incidents.
- Environmental Protection: Monitor activities to minimize environmental impact, including waste management, spill prevention, and biodiversity conservation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and external stakeholders to promote a safety-first culture.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of HSE activities, including inspection logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an HSE role, preferably within the renewable energy or construction sector. Experience with wind farm projects is essential.
- Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualifications. Additional training in first aid and firefighting is a plus.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with HSE legislation, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to use HSE software and tools for reporting and monitoring.
- Key Attributes: Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
