System Developer with Signal Processing Background
Your Task
You will work in a high-tech startup that is under the formal Swedish startup incubation process and has received several financial supports from well-known organizations like Almi and Västra Götalandsregionen. The product that we are building is an innovative human status monitoring system using the state-of-the-art sensing, signal processing and machine learning networks. The team that you will be part of consists of three tightly collaborating experts, each with specific areas of ownership.
Your daily tasks will include
Aligning the development plan and progress with the team and discussing about technical challenges
proposing and evaluating new signal processing methods to extract different types of information from raw radar signals
analyzing system limitations of the existing setup and proposing improvement ideas from both hardware and software perspectives
continuously developing the software and algorithm stack and optimizing the performance on embedded hardware
managing the collected data and ensuring data quality.
Required Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
A Ph.D. in radar systems or signal processing is a plus
Minimum Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in radar systems, or wireless communication and other signal transmission systems, design and development
Deep knowledge of radar hardware design, including antenna design, amplifier, mixer, etc.
Hands-on experience with signal processing techniques and tools (e.g. FFT, PCA, wavelet transform, auto-correlation, DBF, Capon, Music, ESPRIT, Matlab)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++ and/or Assembly
Development experience on common embedded platforms (e.g., ARM Cortex, AVR)
Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), particularly in scheduling, threading, pipelining and resource allocation
Experience in software integration of software modules into larger systems
Experiences with GIT and the latest DevOps solutions
Excellent team player with solid communication skills, goal-oriented mindset and problem-solving capabilities
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Other Desired Skills
Experience with collaborative software development in distributed teams
Experience in developing complex algorithms and data structures
Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet)
Experience in industries such as automotive, IoT, robotics, or medical devices
