On behalf of our customer, a Swedish biotech company in a very exciting phase of its development, Haeger&Carlsson recruits the company's new CFO.

We are looking for an energetic and experienced team player who will assume the financial business responsibility for all areas within finance, such as reporting, analysis and administration. The role could also cover HR related activities within the company.

You will be part of the management team and have a decisive role both in terms of the overall decision-making process as well as in the day-to-day financial and HR/organization plans and activities. The role is located in Lund, Sweden and you report to the CEO.

As CFO, you will have a key role and, together with the CEO and others in the management, be responsible for the successful scale up and commercialization journey.

Main priorities:

• Overall responsibility for the budget process, financial monitoring, accounting and reporting.
• Operational management and support to business functions to increase financial efficiency and improve business results.
• Part of the management team working in close collaboration with the CEO and the management team.
• Financial reporting to shareholders and Board of Directors.
• Investment matters and follow-up and optimization of work processes and organization within the finance function.
• Constantly develop important KPIs that are designed to create good decision support and qualitative reporting.
• For HR role, development of HR processes, working policies, performance review implementation, organizational development plan follow-up according to budget.

Qualifications:

• Minimum an academic degree in economics / accounting / business administration and 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience from communicating with investors and from playing an active role in financing through investment rounds.
• Experience from companies in scale up and commercialization phase.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards including technical aspects within Swedish accounting.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Skilled communicator and relationship builder.
• Experience of policy and system implementation as well as process efficiency.
• Experience of working in the life science industry and/or working at a publicly listed company is meritorious.
